Introduction

McKay Creek Technologies Ltd. has developed a patented* process to treat industrial wastewater. The process utilizes a technology known as "electrocoagulation" to remove a range of contaminants from wastewater. We currently operate a 40 litre per minute treatment plant at Vancouver Shipyards in North Vancouver to treat all of the Washington Marine Group’s oily wastewater from its marine operations.

Electrocoagulation (EC) can resolve many of the shortcomings associated with conventional wastewater treatment processes. McKay Creek’s new EC process offers:

  • Effective removal of a range of contaminants from wastewater

  • Extremely low chemical requirements

  • Small footprint

  • Minimal generation of residuals for disposal

  • Low operating costs

The McKay Creek process is fast and mechanically simple: wastewater is pumped through an electrochemical cell for treatment. Click here to view a graphical illustration of our process
